Sales representative - Mender

Location: Remote (Germany)

Do you want to be part of an international and innovative team and help bring to market a must-have open source software product to connected devices/the Internet of Things? We are an experienced and successful team with offices in Oslo, Norway and California, USA who have set out on a mission to “Secure the World’s Connected Devices.” Our two award winning products are the established CFEngine and the newly released Mender. is looking for talented, enthusiastic, and career-minded individuals to join our European operations. You will have the opportunity to work with Mender, the leader in over-the-air (OTA) update management within the Internet of Things (IoT) space. Our current customer base includes a growing number of companies in a range of different industries. We are looking for motivated sales professionals to work in these market segments which would include any manufacturer/end users looking to embrace IoT technologies for their respective markets through a connected application offering. The sales representative will require the skill set to translate the device lifecycle value proposition into real-world business value.

Main responsibilities

  • Achieve assigned revenue target by selling Mender’s complete line of solutions and services to global leaders in the industrial and commercial products space
  • Significantly extend the existing strategic relationship with customers/prospects
  • Drive and manage the entire sales cycle – from identifying the right business initiatives and building a competitive value proposition to negotiating through close.
  • Competent in the ability to forecast and assess revenue opportunities
  • Investigate and understand the internal business processes of potential clients

Desired skills and experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in selling enterprise software solutions
  • Technical fluency and knowledge of the Linux/embedded/IoT/M2M space
  • Successful sales track record
  • Experience working with goal-driven and remote teams
  • Consistent top performer/ President’s Club or equivalent
  • Business-level German
  • English fluency
